Inflammatory bowel disease involves the chronic inflammation of all or part of your digestive tract. IBDs primarily include ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Both UC and Crohn’s can be extremely painful and debilitating. Sometimes the diseases can lead to life-threatening complications.
With cold weather on the way, the tendency for IBD patients to experience a “flare” increases. A flare is simply the reappearance of the characteristic symptoms of Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis. This generally means diarrhea, rectal bleeding, urgent bowel movements, constipation, abdominal cramps and pain, fever, fatigue or weight loss.
If you are experiencing such a flare, you may be eligible to qualify for our IBD trial. If you would like to hear more about this trial, or see if you qualify to participate, please contact us at 801.409.2040. You can also reach us via e-mail or by submitting the form to your right.
